| Customer Reviews: Attachment Will not spin September 6, 2010 Robert L.Woods (PENSACOLA, FL, US) Took the weed eater out of the box,and gased it up.Then read the directions for putting the attachment on the main shaft. Some type of plastic grommet on top of the shaft off setting the shaft from center so the shaft does not fit into the clutch drum.Found a local service shop who contacted the company. The tech support said to replace shaft and file a warrantly under the 30 days parts and labor. Which that is ok but that took a couple of weeks to get done. These items should go thru a quality assurance check to ensure they work before sending them out to a customer.
Poulan Pro PP025R String Trimmer, Reconditioned September 5, 2010 Tom Thompson (Great Cacapon, WV USA) This item arrived in a timely fashion and it performed as a string trimmer should until I had to replace the string. It was an extremely annoying proceedure and when I read the manual I found the head and spool was different from what was described in the manual and I was unable to find instructions for the spool that came with this trimmer.
difficult accessory attachment August 1, 2010 C. Smith 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
trimmer works well, but attaching accessories is difficult due to having to thread the wire that operates the accessories thru the shaft of the trimmer while keeping it on the guide wheels. other than that it works well. price was hard to beat. why buy new if you can save 30% or more and get the same warranty as new?
Trimmer is great but shop around June 1, 2010 J. Melby (Pittsburgh, PA USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The trimmer was shipped quickly and arrived in great condition. Initial set up was less than 5 minutes. Trimmer started fine and idles well after it has warmed up (30-60 seconds). I would recommend that you prime more than the specified number of times during the first start, as the fuel lines were previously empty. I cut some hefty weeds with the trimmer and it did bog down slightly, but not enough to be problematic. I have no issues restarting the trimmer after turning it off. All in all it is a great trimmer and it was honestly like new. (No scratches, no leaks, no problems) I wish I would have done more shopping around. It can be found at prices lower than this, but that was my fault.
Nice picture but..... April 11, 2010 J. Hale (HOUSTON, TEXAS, US) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I got my trimmer in the mail faster than I expected and very happy about that. When I gassed it up and started using it I found that the idle had to adjusted and that it leaked oil/gas mix. I should have known I would have issues with a reconditioned product and not complain too much. Overall it does what it says in the trimming department. I'm afraid to use its other features after reading the other feedbacks. I have a blower anyway and bought it for trimming so no big deal. I was trying to save a little money and did that. My gut said go with Stihl but my wallet said Poulan. Next time I'll go with my gut though.
