Product Description

Amazon.com Product Review
Easily the T-Rex of weed eaters, Poulan's Dual-Cut Wheeled Trimmer features a 16-inch cutting swath for whacking down whole fields of weeds fast. Two oversized wheels with burly traction mean easy transport over rugged terrain and no shoulder strain from packing a heavy-duty trimmer around. Great for trimming around long stretches of fence, in gullies, and around water, the 31 cc engine powers 1.15-inch- diameter line to zip through feisty thistle, stubborn grass, and tenacious piles of tumble weeds. Ten-inch, high-traction wheels truck over rough terrain that'd easily roll other wheeled trimmers. A heavy-duty cutting head is built for years of brutal use. A dual exit for the fixed-line offers twice the cutting power while a cushioned handle offers optimal comfort and control. The purchase includes trimmer line and is covered by a Poulan 2-year warranty. Brian D. Olson

4 out of 5 stars Good trimmer but replacing line is a pain   September 6, 2010
Sherribaby (NC)
We have had this trimmer for about three years and use it about every two months or so. It is rather powerful and works great around shrubs and even in tough grass along the fields. If the tires were inflated type it would be easier to maneuver. It is not for working on steep hillsides as it can pull you over! Excellent along shrubs, fences, etc. It will also cut down small trees and shrubs. The only drawback to operation is that you often have to re thread a new line, which is tedious. The lines are already cut to length and it has to be threaded into the slots - so someone has to hold the head while you do this. Otherwise it is a good tool to have especially in the country.

5 out of 5 stars weed eater wt3100   April 27, 2010

I Really Like This Weedeater. It Has A Couple Of Drawbacks,But Over All Is A Great Product. The Product Was Described As Open Box And When It Arrived The Motor Was Pulled Loose From The Head. Just Reassembled Unit And It Has Worked Great Since.I Only Have A One And Half Acre Wooded And Fenced Lot,So Far Everything Is OK.

3 out of 5 stars GOOD IDEA...IF IT RUNS.   April 22, 2010
Larissa (Interlachen, Florida)
Arrived quickly. Very easy to assemble just attach the handle put in your gas mixed with the oil. Started up perfect on the first try. I used it for about 20 minutes and thought this is going to be great! Put it in the garage for two days and went back to start on a beautiful Saturday morning and nothing. Cord pulled so easily but it wasn't making any contact with anything or showing in interest in starting.
Called service number and was told all they could do was give me local service numbers ... the one he gave was no longer in business. Called back on Monday and rep told me sometimes due to preassembly things were not always tightened up good to try that before I took it in. I did and no luck. Took it to service center and I am waiting to get it back now. If it runs I think it will be great and save a lot of wear and tear on my neck and shoulders. it doesn't cut quite as low as I would like but I can even live with that. I should have known it was too good to be true when it started so easily.

1 out of 5 stars Rugged? Received 2, Both Broken   April 20, 2010
kenamazon (washington)
To Amazon Returns group I'd like to say thank you for your great service. My returns were handled promptly and courteously. When my first unit arrived broken Amazon immediately expedite shipped me a replacement and when the replacement one arrived broken as well, they provided me a full refund plus return shipping on both units.

To the people at Weed Eater... Bummer, I gave your gas powered edger product a decent review however you may want to remove the term "Rugged" from your product description for this one as it appears unable to even survive shipping (oddly the boxes they shipped in were in pretty good shape, maybe they were rugged).

1 out of 5 stars nothing but trouble   April 15, 2010
Brad L. Mckitrick (indiana)
I received this weed eater and have had nothing but trouble with it and its barely used and not running correctly even after two trips to ace service center to have it repaired.
