Was concerned it was refurbished, but it was in "new" condition. Is working great. We use it 2-4 hours each weekend. So far - no issues!

My reconditioned Ryobi 26cc 22" gas hedge trimmer is a winner. The price was close to that of the more expensive electric trimmers. The fact that there are no more cords to cut or deal with, the power and light weight makes this item more versitle. My neighbors are coming over to borrow it after they cut the cord on their electric trimmers. We all love it! I highly recommend and would purchase again.

Unit apparently not test operated before shipment. Needed major carburetor and throttle adjustments and spark plug replacement before would operate. Repairs cost $25 locally.

I bought one of these worthless items from an E-bay vendor advertised as NEW. Upon receipt of the re-packaged box I noticed the operator's manual stating it was re-conditioned....with a 1-yr. warranty.

After 5 minutes of use the unit (permanently) stopped. I contacted Ryobi & was told I (not surprisingly) had NO warranty. If you (stupidly) buy one of these, ABSOLUTELY make sure you get proof of purchase from the seller (mine didn't); so when the pre-BROKEN trimmer (soon) ceases to function, you can drive (numerous) miles for service (which probably isn't warrantied anyway).

In other words....ONLY A FOOL WOULD BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After sending me three different items, I gave up and went the route of purchasing new (not a Ryobi). The first was damaged in shipping, the second wouldn't run, and the third had a broken choke & leaked gas around the cap. In all fairness, I didn't have a chance to actually try the hedge trimmer to give a review of how it operated. The customer service was great and they returned them without question. So, the star rating is an average of the product and customer service.
