3 out of 5 stars Hard to start but works   August 1, 2010
doctorg13 (Western Montana)
I received this from Amazon yesterday and used it twice today. I have found it very hard to start but once started it idles and runs well. It cuts well but I am concerned that it may go through the cutting line very rapidly as it must be "bumped" often to keep the cutting width up. If I am able to learn how to start it easier it will be more than adequate for my needs in trimming up my acre.

4 out of 5 stars Reconditioned Homelite Trimmer   July 18, 2010
Frank Schroedl (PORT SAINT LUCIE, FLORIDA, US)
Trimmer arrived in about six days/The shipping box was in terrible shape (Fedex)
The trimmer was in good condition (Looked New)I added mixed fuel and was ready to go! Runs like a dream.
The price was very reasonable and included shipping.
The design of the Homelite trimmer leaves something to be desired! The light weight
of the trimmer is good. The angle of the shaft is not good, The trimmer needs to be held in an uncomfortable way.
Frank

1 out of 5 stars homelite reconditioned trimmer   June 16, 2010

This trimmer is a piece of junk, I finally got it to idle, then it would not power up, when I got it to power up it would not idle, it is cheap and I would not recommended this product to anyone.

1 out of 5 stars Really wish I'd just spent the money for a proper trimmer...   May 3, 2010

The trimmer never ran right from the moment I got it, and even after having a small-engine repairman take a look at it. I tried some of the hints in these reviews but it still wouldn't run. My arms get tired from all the pull-starting! PLEASE, for your sake and my own conscience, stay far away from this junk. It is evil; it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever; and I say these things with no compunction at all. I do wish I had just spent another $50 or so and gotten a real trimmer. I also wish there was a zero star option.

1 out of 5 stars Buy something else.   March 24, 2010
G. Sanchez (North Texas)
The starting mechanism broke within two weeks. I e-mailed the seller but got no response. I replaced the broken part and the new part broke just as quickly. It is a good looking trimmer with a poorly designed and cheaply made starting mechanism. My old craftsman lasted over 10 years. People have told me that Homelite makes good products but this is not one of them. DO NOT BUY this item!
